There’s no category in scale motorsport closer to full size off road competition than 1:5 Off Road – not just in size, but also in the style of racing the class offers.

With the inherent size and weight of a large scale off road car giving the cars unique characteristics, races are challenging and hard-fought affairs, as the petrol-powered buggies and trucks tackle the most extreme surfaces and weather conditions on purpose-built outdoor circuits.

Rugged And Race Ready

Built with longevity in mind, 1:5 Off Road cars are designed and engineered to survive the most challenging racing conditions in scale motorsport. Equipped with fully independent suspension and an array of setup options, the cars are highly adjustable – and with two-wheel drive, four-wheel drive and multiple body style variations, there are numerous classes to choose from, each with their own challenges.

As with their on road counterparts, their size and complexity makes high end kits some of the most expensive in the sport, with startup costs of around $3,000 USD – however, with a number of pre-built ready-to-run options available and multiple classes to choose from, there are still accessible routes available into one of the most unique categories in the sport.
