The Most Popular Off Road Class
1/10 Off Road is a highly popular class of radio controlled racing, featuring electric powered off-road buggies in both two and four wheel drive variants racing on a variety of surfaces, on both indoor and outdoor circuits.
Exciting, Close Racing
1/10 Off Road offers all the challenges of off road competition, such as jumps, bumps and mixed surfaces, in a fast-paced and exciting package. Races typically last for five minutes, with simple qualifying and racing formats providing close, unpredictable racing for drivers of all abilities.
Circuits traditionally make use of natural surfaces such as dirt, clay and grass, but artificial alternatives such as carpet and AstroTurf are also common – this provides a wide range of challenges, as drivers and their cars are tested on both high and low grip surfaces.
Accessible and Cost-Effective
1/10 Off Road is a common entry point into the sport of radio controlled racing. A number of competitive kit options are available from an array of manufacturers, with the designs themselves being somewhat less complex than larger scale alternatives – particularly two-wheel drive kits – whilst also retaining the extensive adjustability and quality materials found on high-end competition vehicles. This balance gives beginners an accessible first step into building, racing and maintaining radio controlled cars, whilst also offering more experienced drivers a highly competitive and challenge racing environment.
